DESCRIPTION:A chance to join club members at the iconic Ribblehead Viaduct in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales to capture steam crossings. \nNorthbound trains are usually between 11:00 and 13:00\, and southbound trains between 15:00 and 18:00. So we are generally there mid-morning to late afternoon\, with ‘opportunities for other flying’ in-between the northbound and southbound trains\, or a trip somewhere for lunch. \nAll British Drone Flyers and BMFA members welcome\, stout footwear and suitable clothing for changeable weather are recommended. We aim to start the competition immediately after the briefing is finished\, there will be no additional time to assemble models as we’ll get straight into it. \nCamping\nThis is permitted\, please see me on arrival as the site requires careful planning to keep the camping and flying area separated. \nFood and Social\nThere will be no catering provided at this event\, please make your own arrangements.\nThat said\, a few of us plan to book a table at the Boars Head Hotel for Saturday evening which is located on the access road. Relaxed stand off competition in two classes. Scratch/kit built and ARTF. Trophies in both classes. Required to fly. Models up to 7.5kg “A” CERTIFICATE. Models UP TO 25kg and all turbines “B” CERTIFICATE. NO MODELS OVER 25kg. Turbine models will be inspected before being allowed to fly. Refreshments available.
