SUMMARY:Steam at Ribblehead with the Yorkshire Drone Flyers
DESCRIPTION:A chance to join club members at the iconic Ribblehead Viaduct in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales to capture steam crossings. \nNorthbound trains are usually between 11:00 and 13:00\, and southbound trains between 15:00 and 18:00. So we are generally there mid-morning to late afternoon\, with ‘opportunities for other flying’ in-between the northbound and southbound trains\, or a trip somewhere for lunch. \nAll British Drone Flyers and BMFA members welcome\, stout footwear and suitable clothing for changeable weather are recommended. Friends and family also welcome\, plenty of advice and assistance available and the opportunity to try flying a drone too. \nCar parking at https://maps.app.goo.gl/mkVEG3FPpJYTAUyy6 \nPlease RSVP below if you would like to come along. DESCRIPTION:Hello everyone. \nWe are really excited to announce our BQEs in 2024 at EMHC.   If you have not been to us before we are club near Brands Hatch in Kent and the What 3 Words that point to us are ///punch.song.maybe      We will have limited camping available (to hardly souls that would like to do this so early in the year) or we help you look for other accomodation if you are travelling from afar.  AirBNB’s\, etc \nThere will be up to 36 pilot slots available and we will start at 10AM.  A hot meal will be provided midway through the day (so let us know if you have any allergies / strong preferences).  Pilot packs will be sent out approximately 1 week before the event. We will have some power available but please bring an extension lead / generator / power pack if you have one. \nThis will be a Qualifier Event for the 2023/24 British Championship i.e. part of the series to qualify for the British Champs (and to get into Team GBR) \nThe entry fee is £33\, reduced to £30 for BDRA members. Camping £5 / night \nClub rules require all pilots to be BMFA insured.  If you do not have BMFA insurance then you will need to apply in advance via the BMFA website for temporary membership (if you do not know how to do that email and we will let you know) \nWe will try to get a minimum of 10 rounds of qualifying to decide the main finals and will be following the new ruleset (fastest 3 laps in qualifying\, etc) and plan to run to the following schedule \n9:00  Registration\, Failsafe and insurance checks \n9:45  Pilot briefing (if you are not there for the briefing then you will miss any round that has started) \n10:00  Qualifying starts \n13:00  Short break for lunch \n13:30  Qualifying resumes \n15:30  Qualifying concludes\, 5 min break to arrange finals \n15:45  Mains start \n16:30 Prize giving \n  \nWe hope to see many of you at our club for this ever popular event but if you have any questions then please email David at David@allenhome.biz \nF9U Drone Racing BDRA League and Team Selection
